Congratulations to Andra Laird on being awarded the John Gunning Volunteer of the Year award

Congratulations to Andra Laird, the East District winner of the John Gunning Award Volunteer of the Year 2015. The amount of time and effort Andra has put into the East District, Fife Regional Committee and her own club, Carnegie SC, during the last year made Andra a worth recipient.

Andra’s sustained level of work, commitment and enthusiasm has been apparent for many years previously. Andra is a past President to Carnegie SC within which she has fulfilled numerous other roles over many years. Andra is a qualified and registered Technical Official to Judge 2 level but with her many recent, time consuming and involved roles, does not get much free poolside time to participate in STO activities herself now, but has done more than her share of technical officiating in the past.

Andra Laird has in the past few years been a very able and diligent Secretary to the Fife Regional Committee, which oversees the aquatic activities in and around Fife within SASA East District including the Fife Area Training Squad (swimming) – of which Andra is Coordinator
