Aquanauts Livingston are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to lead the Aquanauts Livingston ASC coaching team in the delivery of a high-quality coaching framework to approximately 60 swimmers. The new head coach must demonstrate excellent management and communication skills with swimmers, parents and committee members.

 

Aquanauts Livingston ASC is committed to developing its swimmers into skilled, competitive athletes who enjoy a challenge and aspire to achieve their potential. The club currently caters to a wide variety of abilities ranging from our Learn to Swim programme to competitive club level swimmers.  We are also an affiliated club with the Swim West Lothian age group pathway.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to provide skilled leadership to support the Club’s strong future and build on its current successful strategic plan which includes SwiMark Plus. The new head coach is required to liaise with our Learn to Swim programme leader and encourage swimmers to make the transition from lessons into club. Continued professional development will be supported from Committee level. Aquanauts Livingston ASC is primarily based at The James Young High School and Inveralmond Community High School.

 

This post requires a time commitment of approximately 9 hours per week plus attendance at appropriate competitions, team events and management commitments throughout the year. Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references and PVG Scheme Membership. We are looking for the successful coach to be qualified to Level 2 UKCC/STA/ASA standard.
