Congratulations to Cameron Hemphill on his qualification for the finals of Lebara’s Race The World 2020 in the men’s Open 50m backstroke

on Saturday, 21 November 2020.

Also a Scottish swimming Young ambassador for East District

Cameron Hemphill who is an East District swimmer and Scottish Swimming Young ambassador for the district, has qualified for the finals of Lebara’s Race The World 2020 in the men’s Open 50m backstroke. Good luck Cameron.

Well done Katie Pake, finalist in Lebara’s Race The World 2020

Women’s Open 50m Butterfly and 50m backstroke

Katie Pake has qualified for the finals of Lebara’s Race The World 2020 in the Women’s Open 50m Butterfly and 50m backstroke. The results from the heats can be found on the British Swimming website; https://www.britishswimming.org/events-and-tickets/lebaras-race-world-british-para-swimming/

Katie has to film her swims for the finals any time between 2nd – 9th December. Katie has been moved up to another squad at Carnegie and they are keen to support Katie in preparing and filming the above events.

The finals will be live streamed via the British Swimming website on 16th December 16.00 GMT and all results will be published on the British Swimming website on 16th December after the live stream.  Thought I would share the good news of your East District para swimmer competing internationally!  

PS Katie is the youngest event participant!
