Waterpolo March 24 1

Another exciting East District waterpolo tournament took place at Carnegie LC on Sat 2 Mar played in great spirit. Over 60 youngsters from 5 clubs formed 6 teams to take part and the noise and enthusiasm showed through throughout the event.

A number of young and less experienced players attended for the first time and put in a good effort whilst it was also good to see improvements from those who have attended our previous tournaments, with some having progressed to National Development Squads.

77 goals were scored with plenty of saves and good game play and as with all development tournaments there were winners and losers with some games having only 1 or 2 goals separating the teams when the final hooter went.

A thank you to Stingrays and Dunfermline coaches who helped manage the Nomads team.

A big thank you to the refs, team staff, supporters along with Jeanette, Mark and Ruby running the scoreboard and clocks but not least the boys and girls who contributed so much effort and gained valuable experience.
