East District Technical Officials Workshop

The following workshop will be held at the Musselburgh Sports Centre, 101 Newbigging, Musselburgh EH21 7AS

Judge 1 Second Workshop

J1 Candidates who have progressed through a number of poolside sessions should then attend this Group Session to go over progress to date and to complete the review questions in their workbook.

At this second session the tutor will go over the duties and role of the Chief Inspector of Turns and Relay Take-off Judge.

Judge 2 Initial Workshop

This is the second level of qualification. It encompasses the role and duties in relation to all aspects of judging Finish and the theoretical role and duties of Stroke Judge.

The minimum age to start training is 16 years and candidates should have undertaken their J1 second workshop.

The following workshops will be held at the Michael Woods Centre, Viewfield, Glenrothes KY6 2RD

Judge 1 Initial Workshops

This is the first level of British qualification. It reviews the role and duties of Timekeeper, Chief Timekeeper and encompasses the duties of Inspector of Turns and the technical requirements of the swimming strokes. The minimum age to start training is 15 years and attendee must have completed their timekeeper assessment. If possible, please bring your record of Timekeeper duties.
