Open Water

Posted in Open Water

Open water swimming takes place in outdoor bodies of water such as oceans, bays, lakes, rivers, canals and reservoirs. The activity has grown in popularity in recent years.

Open water racing is an option available to all swimming clubs in Scotland.

Races take place throughout the summer at various venues and over various distances.  All swimmers aged 12 and over are encouraged to take part and experience a different form of the sport.

Whether you are looking for a new challenge or have ambitions to compete internationally there is a level of competition with the sport you can take part in.
