Borders Regional Swimming Committee  - Meet Programme 2023 (updated Jan 23)

We are trying to get back on track with the dates for Border Championships, Border Relays and Border Junior and Intermediate League but are slowly making progress. We ran a very successful Border Relay event in Kelso on Sun 15 Jan 23 and are looking forward to our Border Champs on 2 Apr and then the first 2 rounds of the Border League (7 May and 4 Jun) all at Galashiels swimming pool. Closing dates for entries will be promulgated to clubs via their BRSC reps.

The Junior League is for teams of swimmers aged 10&U and 12&U with trophies for boys and girls in each age group as well as an overall trophy.  The Intermediate League is for teams of swimmers aged over 13 with overall trophies for age groups 14&U and 15&O and an IM trophy.

We also hope that club galas will restart this year but the shortage of STOs in the region is making clubs reluctant to commit in case they can'tmeet the license requirements. Anyone wanting to become an STO please contact your BRSC Rep ASAP!

The Borders Championships consists of a range of events for individual swimmers from the 6 Borders clubs to compete to be the regional champion in their age group and it is great to see the swimmers proudly representing their clubs and the friendly rivalry that always exists.

The Borders Relay Championships is a team event usually held in the Autumn so we hope that the 2023 event will get back to that plan.  It is alweays great fun and there are trophies for each of the 4 age groups (10&U, 12&U, 14&U and 15&O) and an overall trophy. Eyemouth are the current relay champs so everyone else wants to take the crown from them.

If you want more information, speak to your club rep (if you're a Borders club) or contact one of the BRSC Committee who will be happy to help.
