Edinburgh International Swim Meet 2021

An invitation is now extended for officials from East District to officiate at the Edinburgh International Swim Meet 2021 on the 12 to 14 March 2021 at the Royal Commonwealth Pool.
There will be a maximum of 19 officials per session, ranging from Timekeepers to Referee functions, to facilitate physical distancing requirements.
The EISM will be held in partnership with British Swimming and supported by City of Edinburgh Council and Scottish Swimming.
The event will be by invitation only for the "return to train athletes" who have travel and competition government exemption. They will be nominated by the respective home nations performance directors. In addition there will be a representation of around 4 European countries. MC athletes will be incorporated into the morning heats. There will be no more than 150 athletes.
There will be a max of 3 heats per event with 2 additional short breaks to maintain a number and distancing compliance with the facility. There will be no afternoon sessions and the finals will be restricted to an open final with no B or junior final and no skins.
The event is predominately geared towards the competition preparation for the prospective Olympic and European teams.
There will be no accommodation for local officials, normal travel expenses will apply. There will be a health declaration to be completed and signed on entrance to facility and Covid protocols, to be confirmed, to be observed.
