Scottish Swimming are pleased to now be accepting bookings for the Scottish Swimming Coaching Qualification (SSCQ) which is the industry standard for coaching swimming, sitting within the Scottish Swimming Coaching Framework at SCQF Level 7. The SSCQ develops coaches who are ready to work independently in clubs and the competitive swimming environment. More details can be found below;
The first SSCQ course for the East will take place in Edinburgh at the end of September (more details in the booking link below).
There are a few important prerequisites for this new course which I have detailed below. If you have any questions or queries around these please get in touch with me.
- PVG – Candidates must hold a current PVG
- CWPS Course – Candidates must hold a current CWPS course
- Poolside Helper Qualification or higher – I know that there might be coaches who have been through the course that might not have had the credential attached to their profile. It is possible to back date these credentials so please get in touch if you need support with this.
